A picnic in Rittenhouse Square.

Running the Art Museum stairs just like Rocky.

Glamping in Virginia

The last week of April Ben and I along with our good friends the Helmbergers headed back to Virginia for a long weekend of glamping (glamorous camping) in a yurt. We also visited many of the beautiful wineries in the area and on Saturday went into Charlottesville for brunch, coffee, shopping and mani/pedis (well at least the girls did:) in this beautiful town. Here are a few pics from our trip...

Ben felt so at home at the Doner Bistro...serving delicious Doners like he used to get in Germany.
Wine tasting at La Grange Winery.
Our yurt for the long weekend.
Lots of gaming on the deck.
Our favorite vineyard from the weekend...Sharp Rock Vineyards
Picnicking at Sharp Rock.
All of us at King Family Vineyards.

Easter Sunday

This Easter Ben and I hosted 3 other couples. It was a beautiful day so we had the large barn doors on our loft wide open to let in the fresh air and light. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter Sunday. For more on the food and decor click here.

Berlin was so happy to have his BFF Fritz over for Easter.

Liberti Easter Outreach

Ben and I were asked to head up the Liberti Easter Outreach at our church.

We helped raise over $35,000 to cover the cost of 1,200 meals and the digging of 3 clean water wells in South Sudan to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

On Easter Eve it was a blessing to assist a team of 250 people who delivered the meals as well as prayed for hundreds of people in need.

Here are a few pics of what we have been working on the last few months.

Each dot represents a family in the Philadelphia area who we delivered an Easter meal to.

Some of the 1,200 meals packed up.

What was in each Easter meal that we delivered.

...and the hams...thanks to Hatfield for donating all 1,200 of them.

Ben's Birthday

The weekend of March 16-18 was spent celebrating Ben's birthday. Here are a few pics from the fun weekend!

Friday night we took a terrarium class-his birthday present from me. (something Ben has wanted to do for a long time!)

Saturday morning (his actual birthday) we went fly fishing and hiking with a few friends and our dogs. Ben really wanted to teach me how to fly fish...I didn't catch anything but I will say I got the hang of casting.

Saturday night we had friends over for a low key dinner before heading to a concert.

Fruit pizza instead of birthday cake...his choice.

Sunday we spent the day exploring Brooklyn, NYC...a great place!
