The Royal Wedding!

Ever since I can remember I have been slightly obsessed with the Royals. So missing the Royal Wedding was never an option. My close girlfriend Jackie (equally obsessed) and I had a royal wedding all nighter to celebrate the event. We did manage to get about 2 hours of sleep between all of the footage and the 6am wedding. But all in all I wouldn't have missed it for anything. Everything was perfect!

I don't have any pictures of the all nighter but I did get a picture of one of our early morning snacks. The Royal Wedding donut from Dunkin Donuts.

California: The Coast

After a fabulous time in wine country we spent our last day doing the famous Route 1 a.k.a. Pacfic Coast Highway. On our drive we stopped at Muir Woods to check out the coastal redwoods, "the tallest of all living things", the scenic 17 Mile Drive, Pebble Beach, and stopped for dinner in Caramel by the Sea.

California: Wine Country

This was the longest portion of of our trip and by far the most relaxing. We enjoyed vineyards big, small, famous and secret. We continued our tour of amazing restaurants by hitting up; Thomas Keller's Bouchon, and Auberge with its sweeping views. And on our last day we spent the morning experiencing the famous Mud Baths at Spa Solage in Calistoga.

Beautiful vineyards everywhere!

California: Yosemite

This portion of the trip was absolutely breathtaking. From El Capitan to Half Dome the views at Yosemite National Park were stunning. We had heard the park was beautiful but it is completely different in person. It was a fun time relaxing in our cabin and a time for Ben to play act Ansel Adams.

California: San Fransisco

Toni wanted Sonoma Valley. Ben wanted Yosemite. Our friends Kate and Jordan wanted San Francisco. And they got it all for 9 spring days. Our favorite moments in the Bay area were a lunch at Alice Walker's Chez Panisse in Berkeley, a garden tour at Alcatraz, free chocolate at Ghiradelli Square, a VIP tour of Google Headquarters, and the magical fog on the Golden Gate Bridge. Hat tip to our college bro Travis Zimbelman for giving us free lunch at Google and a big thanks to Toni's old friend and neighbor Jenni Grenz for showing us around the Pacific Heights neighborhood.

Urban with the Girls

With Ben out of town for the weekend my mom and sister flew into Philly to keep me company. We had a fabulous weekend...shopping, eating out, the Macy's Flower show, cooking, crafting and plenty of time chit chatting at the coffee shop. Thanks for the fun visit Mom and Kata!

Hot Springs with the Boys

Ben and his brothers surprised their dad with an East Coast fly fishing trip for his 60th birthday. They stayed at a rustic cabin on a sheep farm along the river in Bath County, Virginia. Apparently they had a great time. All I can tell is what I see in the pictures. If you want more details you will have to talk with one of the Brandenburg boys directly.
